Te Awamutu Riding For The Disabled Photos
What an unbelievably humbling experience it is to attend an RDA Open day. Michael spent time this morning at Kihikihi Domain and here are the photos of his time there.
A huge thank you to all the RDA members and volunteers who do such wonderful work. The smiles and laughter from those participating is a very special thing.
Ages range from very young upwards and it was plain to see that they all love the connection with their horses.
One stunningly inspirational lady we met was Helen. She has been disabled since a car accident involving a drunk driver many years ago. Helen is blind and has lost an arm yet she has been riding for over 14 years and loves it. Helen you are a wonderful person and it was really special for Michael to watch you riding today.

Below three-year-old Amy is assisted into the saddle. Amy has been riding at RDA for over a year.

Twelve year-old Callum is a super young man who enjoyed getting plenty of riding tips from Michael.

Michael has the proceedure board explained to him by organiser Carol Penman(above) and three of the wonderful volunteers (below)
